Book?
Dear friends,
Hello again! It's been awhile, hasn't it? What's new in my life...hmm. Well I decided to write a novel. I've been playing around with an idea for awhile. It started with a dream I had and I feel like it would make a very decent book. So i'm going to do what I can...I have commitment issues so we'll see how this goes. I'll keep you updated. Once I get a chapter done maybe i'll post it. But i'm not sure who's reading this so I cant tell you the premise yet....Just in case someone decides to steal it.
It's Christmas break guys! Only 4 days until the day we've been waiting for all year long! Yes.
I'm running out of things to say. Just thought i'd fill you in on the whole novel thing. :) Bye!

Oh wait....
Wow guys. I feel like I havent written in days. *Insert title of post here*....I havent.
Well, it's good to be back. I finished book I was reading in my last post and...well, it was a book about a man who turns into a giant cockroach. Not to say it wasn't good. Because it was decent, and an entertaining read. I just feel like it was fairly wordy, which normally doesn't bother me unless it prevents the book from progressing.
Any way. It's been such a long week. Honestly. I've been bored to tears. But there's only one more week until Christmas vacation so I think I can hold on till then. :)
I hope you all are well, sorry about how short this post is. I just felt bad for not writing so I thought that something would be better than nothing. Have a great day!

The Metamorphosis
Today, I purchased The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka on my Kindle. And, for the life of me, I'm not sure why. All I know is I read the first sentence of the summary which reads, "Gregor Samsa wakes up and discovers he has been changed into a giant cockroach." and I was sold.
All I know is this.
There was a man.
He had a simple name like Gregor.
And he wakes up as a cocroach.
So I'm going to assume that this book will be the best book I've ever read. I'm going to start tonight or tomorrow, and I'll keep you guys updated as I go. Wish me luck! :)

The Weight of Your Awkward Rap
Hello, kind friends.
Today I'd like to talk about something funny that happened today. It brightened my day right up.
At my school, we have a thriving theater department filled with all the gems of the school. They always put on amazing productions. Their most recent venture is a play called Weight of Words. It's a show that illustrates the pains and dangers of bullying. It's extremely powerful...until one scene. A scene where the student body of a school go to congress and demand to be heard. So far so good. But it's how the choose to EXPRESS themselves to congress that's weird. They rap. Like, full on rap. With lines like, "My daddy always told me to keep my hands to myself, maybe he should take his own advice and listen to himself." Why. A rap. Gah.
Here I am, on the verge of tears. Wholly impressed by the talents of my peers. And then they rap. And I'm speechless. And then I slowly lowered my head and buried it in my hands. Good grief people. Here you are trying to show people how powerful bullying is, and right when you have us in the palm of your hand, you start RAPPING. I was so mad. Wow.
Anyway, that's all I have to say today.
Moral of the story is, if you're trying to get someone's attention in a powerful way, dont rap. C'mon.
